Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DupeDB ("the Service", "we", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
For questions about these Terms or to contact us, open a ticket in the #create-ticket channel of our Discord server. This is the fastest way to reach us. You may also email contact@dupedb.net.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
2. About the Content
DupeDB aggregates publicly available Minecraft exploit information from community sources, including public Discord servers and user contributions. The content consists of publicly known facts and community-shared knowledge; original content remains the property of its respective creators where applicable.
3. Intellectual Property
User-Submitted Content (CC BY 4.0)
User-submitted exploit documentation, descriptions, and related content are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). Anyone may share, adapt, and reuse the content for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial, with attribution — credit the original contributors and link to the DupeDB entry. By submitting, you release content under this license and confirm you have the right to do so. See Section 4.
Third-Party Content
Embedded YouTube videos remain the property of their creators. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios / Microsoft; Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc.
4. User Submissions
By submitting content to DupeDB, you agree that:
- Your Discord username will be displayed as the contributor
- The information you submit is publicly available or your own discovery
- You will make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy of your submissions
- You provide information "as-is" without warranty
- DupeDB reserves the right to edit, moderate, or remove any submission
- If you did not discover the exploit yourself, you must credit the original finder
Control of Verified Submissions
You can edit or delete your pending submissions any time. Once verified by staff, a submission becomes part of the permanent public archive and can only be modified or removed by staff. To correct a verified submission, contact us or leave a comment on the exploit page.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Submit malware, viruses, or harmful content disguised as exploits
- Submit false, misleading, or fabricated exploit information
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
6. Account Terms
DupeDB uses Discord for authentication. By logging in, you agree that:
- Your Discord username and avatar are used as your identity on DupeDB
- You are responsible for the security of your Discord account
- You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service in addition to ours
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; DupeDB bans do not affect your Discord account
- If you choose to join our community Discord server at login, you authorize us to add your account to it (and to any replacement or successor server we later designate). You can leave any time. Opting out at login skips this entirely — see Privacy Policy §3 for what changes when you opt out
Right to Refuse Service
We may refuse, restrict, or terminate access to the Service for any reason, with or without notice. This includes denying access before registration, suspending or banning accounts, blocking IPs or Discord accounts, and removing content. We are not obligated to provide reasons.
7. Educational Purpose Disclaimer
DupeDB is provided for educational and research purposes only — to inform the community about exploits, document them historically, and promote responsible disclosure. You are solely responsible for how you use this information.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any exploit information, that exploits listed as "working" are functional, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that the Service meets your specific requirements.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DUPEDB AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Damages arising from the use or misuse of exploit information
- Server bans, account suspensions, or other penalties you receive from using exploits
- Loss of data or unauthorized access to your account
- Any damages resulting from third-party actions based on information from this Service
No Liability for Information Use
DupeDB documents publicly known exploit information for educational and research purposes. We are not responsible for how anyone uses, interprets, or acts upon it.
Section 230 Protection
DupeDB is an interactive computer service under 47 U.S.C. § 230. User content (submissions, comments, votes) is provided by the contributing user, not by DupeDB. We are not the publisher or speaker of user content and are not liable for it. Moderation does not waive this protection.
Mandatory Consumer Protections
Nothing in this Section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Consumers in the EEA, UK, or other jurisdictions with mandatory consumer-protection laws retain those protections regardless of the disclaimers above.
10. Content Removal & Takedown Policy
What We Will Consider Removing
We will review takedown requests for:
- Copyrighted Media — Images, videos, or other media you own that were uploaded without permission
- Personal Information — Doxxing or private information about individuals
- Defamatory Content — False statements presented as fact that damage reputation
- Malware — Content that contains or links to malicious software
What We Will NOT Remove
The following are not valid grounds for content removal:
- Exploit Documentation — Factual information about how exploits work is educational content, not subject to takedown
- Server/Plugin Vulnerabilities — Documentation of security issues in publicly available software
- Publicly Known Information — Information already available in public forums, Discord servers, or other sources
- "We don't like it" Requests — Requests from server owners or groups who simply dislike being documented
How to Submit a Takedown Request
For non-copyright requests (personal information, defamation, malware), send takedown requests via Discord #create-ticket or email contact@dupedb.net. Include a link to the content, the basis for removal, and your contact info.
For copyright claims, send a DMCA notice to our Designated Copyright Agent as described in the Copyright Policy.
We aim to respond within 7 days. Each removal decision includes a statement of reasons sent to the requester (and the affected user where applicable), per the EU Digital Services Act.
11. Vulnerability Disclosure
We encourage submitters to notify affected developers or server operators before or alongside submitting zero-day exploits. This is not required, but responsible disclosure strengthens the community.
Staff may, at their discretion, temporarily restrict public visibility of certain submissions to give affected developers time to fix the issue, and may attempt to notify affected parties directly. These are voluntary, best-effort practices — not a guaranteed process.
Nothing in this section creates a legal duty to withhold, delay, or restrict any submission, or to notify any third party.
12. Scanner Service
The DupeDB Scanner queries public Minecraft servers and collects only information they intentionally broadcast — status, player counts, MOTD, version, software type, publicly exposed plugins, and geographic location from the server's IP. This is the same data anyone can obtain by pinging the server directly via standard Minecraft query protocols.
Scanner data is based on periodic queries and may not reflect real-time status. Plugin detection and player lists can be incomplete because servers may hide them.
Access requires authentication. By using the scanner you agree to use it for legitimate purposes only, not to harass server owners or players, and to treat the data as educational/research.
13. API Usage
DupeDB exposes an API for third-party apps via OAuth. By using it you agree to:
Prohibited
- No scraping or mirroring. Query on demand; do not bulk-download for external storage or redistribution. Contact us if you need offline access.
- No misrepresentation. Make clear that exploit data originates from DupeDB.
- No automated abuse. No vote manipulation, mass spam, programmatic low-quality submissions, or fake-user OAuth flows.
- No rate-limit evasion. No token rotation, multi-account distribution, etc. If default limits are too restrictive, contact us.
Required
- Respect user consent. Only perform actions the user would reasonably expect from your app. No silent votes, comments, or submissions.
- Link back to DupeDB. When displaying exploits, link to the original DupeDB page.
Enforcement
Violating apps are revoked without warning. All tokens issued to the app are invalidated immediately, disconnecting every user. See Developer Documentation for endpoints and rate limits.
14. Modifications to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Changes take effect on posting; the "Last Updated" date reflects the most recent change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
15. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DupeDB and its operators, contributors, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: your use or misuse of the Service; your violation of these Terms, any third-party rights (IP, privacy, publicity), or applicable law; or any content you submit. We may assume exclusive defense of any matter; you must cooperate and may not settle without our written consent.
Consumer carveout: For consumers in the EEA, UK, or other jurisdictions that restrict consumer indemnification, this Section applies only to the extent permitted by your local mandatory consumer-protection law.
16. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and by applicable US federal law. Disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts of New Mexico; you consent to personal jurisdiction there and waive any inconvenient-forum objection. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Consumer carveout: Nothing in this Section deprives a consumer of the mandatory protections of their country of habitual residence. Consumers in the EEA and UK may bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence to the extent required by applicable consumer-protection law.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions stay in full force.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms — together with the Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines — are the entire agreement between you and DupeDB regarding the Service, and supersede all prior communications. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
DupeDB is operated by Vibe Archives LLC.
